Distance from Shore: If your island is far from shore you will need to make sure that you are purchasing a boat that is capable of traveling to and from the island. Therefore you will need to have a boat that stores enough fuel for a return trip voyage. Secondly, you may want to consider having extra seating for guests, it can be time consuming when you have to make extra trips when your island is far from shore. Finally, investing in a more powerful boat increases its speed thus reducing the time it takes to get to and from your island.
